The Bielefeld Graduate School of Economics and Management offers a broad variety of activities. Doctoral workshops are organized by EBIM students once a year focusing on networking between young researchers on an international level at an early stage of their career. EBIM workshops are taking place alternating in Paris and in Bielefeld during the summer term. It aims to exchange recent work in the ongoing research projects together with all members of EBIM. The lecture series Wissenschaftsforum Wirtschaft addresses the public at large. It aims to provide information about current trends in economics and management research and to improve public understanding of economic causes and effects. Thus, a connection is made between theory and practice in an attempt to illustrate the potential applications of research results to the broadest possible audience. In addition the BiGSEM organizes conferences on current economic topics.
