Frederik Diermann successfully defended his thesis on "Essays on Limited Liability in Economics".
Simon Schopohl successfully applied for PhD allowance at the DFH-UFA
The German-French University (DFH-UFA) supports German-French
joint PhD projects. The allowance comprises travel expenses and financial support for
the defense date.

Kerstin Hötte was awarded a scholarship
BiGSEM student Kerstin Hötte successfully applied for a scholarship by "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes". Its maximal duration amounts to three years.
11th BiGSEM Doctoral Workshop
The students of the BiGSEM program would like to bring to your attention the upcoming 11th BiGSEM Doctoral Workshop on Economic Theory. The workshop will take place at the ZiF on December 5-6, 2013.

New European Project!
Bielefeld University successfully applied as a coordinator for a Marie-Skłodowska-Curie research and international training network in the field of economics. Fifteen young researchers will become fellows of the network „Expectations and Social Influence Dynamicsin in Economics (ExSIDE)“ and will be awarded joint degrees from two of the eight excellent European partner universities each. Bielefeld ExSIDE fellows will become members of BiGSEM.
